Youth Mental Health Systems Navigator
Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiative and Mental Health, the Youth Mental Health Systems Navigator provides screening, assessment, referrals and advocacy for families who have youth experiencing addictions and/or mental health challenges. The Youth Mental Health Systems Navigator helps families negotiate health and social systems, overcome barriers and ensure seamless transition from one service to another and continuity of care for each individual.

Youth Worker – Tukimut After- School Program
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Youth Worker assists, prepares, and delivers evening activities for the Tukimut After-school Program. The Youth Worker will assist evening program staff with serving meals, DNT transportation, planning and delivering activities, and daily cleaning. The Youth Worker will communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator for scheduling, concerns, ideas, and supplies needed for the program.

Youth Justice Liaison Worker
Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiatives and Mental Health, and the Inuit Youth Justice Coordinator, the Youth Justice Liaison Worker is responsible for supporting Inuit youth (ages 12-17) who may have mental health concerns and who have become involved in the justice system. The worker helps these young people to navigate the legal system, provides support and refers them to mental health, legal and other resources as needed and encourages them to take responsibility and make positive changes in their own lives.

Child and Youth Mental Health Counsellor
Under the supervision of the Community Initiatives and Mental Health Manager the Child & Youth Mental Health Counsellor will be responsible for the provision of assessment and counselling services for Inuit children and youth. Services will be embedded in an Inuit cultural framework for mental wellness that combines western and Inuit specific knowledge and counselling practices.

Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiatives and Mental Health, and working with the Inuit Youth Justice Program, the Youth Justice Counsellor and Coordinator is responsible for providing counselling and other mental health services to Inuit youth (ages 12-17) who may have mental health concerns and who have become involved in the justice system. In addition, the position involves coordination of program development, service delivery and partnerships.

This position functions outside of the provincial, child-welfare services and is directly located within Inuuqatigiit Centre as an advocate and support service for the well-being of Inuit children and their families.

Legal Support Program Coordinator – Justice Program
Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Initiatives and Mental Health, the Program Coordinator works in collaboration with the Manager of the Pisiksik Justice Department of Tungasuvvingat Inuit to support inter-agency collaboration, collect data, and report between the two agencies in providing services to Inuit community members involved in the justice system. The Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and supporting the day-to-day activities of the Legal System Navigators. This role is also responsible for creating and disseminating educational content and building partnerships that can benefit Inuit by removing barriers to understanding of Canadian Legal systems (including criminal, human rights, and family law) and enhancing cultural competency for those interacting with Inuit.
