Inuit Child First Initiative Caseworker
The ICFI Caseworker supports Inuit children, youth, and families by coordinating culturally safe, holistic services through the Child First Initiative and Integrated Plan of Care. Working under the supervision of the Community Initiatives Mental Health Manager and alongside the ICFI Coordinator, the role focuses on case management, advocacy, service navigation. Responsibilities include liaising with families and service providers, coordinating referrals, supporting funding applications, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with internal programs, community partners, and Inuit specific organizations. The position plays a vital role in reducing barriers to services and ensuring families receive timely, coordinated supports that promote well-being, equity, and self-determination of Inuit children and youth.

The Child & Youth Cultural Support Worker will help Inuit children youth in care realize their ability to achieve their goals and help them achieve their potential.

counselling services for Inuit children and youth. Services will be embedded in an Inuit
cultural framework for mental wellness that combines western and Inuit specific knowledge

Post-Secondary Education Hubs Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Manager of Youth Programs, the Post Secondary Hubs Supervisor provides support to Inuit students who are either planning to or attending post-secondary education. The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of the PSE Hub program while also managing a caseload of student support clients. This dual role requires both accountability to the funder, program development, and support to students, community partners and parents in promoting school and life skills success for elementary and secondary students.

Youth Worker – Tukimut Afterschool and Camp Program
Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Youth Worker assists, prepares, and delivers evening activities for the Tukimut After-school Program. The Youth Worker will assist evening program staff with serving meals, DNT transportation, planning and delivering activities, and daily cleaning. The Youth Worker will communicate regularly with the Program Coordinator for scheduling, concerns, ideas, and supplies needed for the program.

Under the supervision of the Family Well-being Manager, the FWB Program Cook will menu plan, shop for ingredients, and prepare nutritional daily meals and snacks for the children and families attending programming. This will be done in accordance with Canada’s Food Guide and the Certified Food Handler Training.

Nunavut Youth Worker
Under the supervision of the Manager of Family Well-Being, the Nunavut Youth Worker supports the well-being of Nunavummiut Youth living in Ottawa, in collaboration with government of Nunavut employees and contracted caregivers. The Nunavut Youth Worker will develop meaningful relationships with Inuit children and youth in group care or medical foster care to help maintain their understanding of Inuit knowledge and IQ Principles, hear and/or speak Inuktitut, and engage in cultural activities so that they remain connected to their identity as proud Inuit. The Nunavut Youth Worker will help Inuit children and youth in care identify goals and help them achieve their potential.
